Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the architecture, development, and upkeep of sophisticated API solutions utilizing the Apigee platform.
  • Engage with diverse teams, including system architects, product managers, and fellow developers, to collect requirements and establish API strategies.

  • Conduct thorough code assessments to ensure the quality and sustainability of Apigee implementations.
  • Establish and uphold API governance standards and policies throughout the organization.
  • Identify and implement enhancements for the performance, scalability, and security of existing APIs.
  • Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams for the deployment and management of the Apigee platform and API proxies.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in API management and suggest integrations into the development workflow.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate issues related to API performance and implementations.
  • Work with testing teams to create and execute comprehensive testing plans for APIs.
  • Document technical designs, API specifications, and deployment protocols.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, contributing insights on system design and integration.
  • Engage with external partners and vendors on API integration initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the overarching technical strategy of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing APIs on the Apigee platform.
  • Strong programming expertise in JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Deep understanding of API design principles, RESTful architectures, and web services.
  • Expertise in implementing API security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
  • Solid grasp of microservices architecture and API-driven development.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and containerization technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in CI/CD methodologies and tools for automated deployment and testing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and debugging capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Migrate legacy APIs to OAuth-compliant APIs.
  • Manage OAuth token invalidation for password resets and fraud prevention.
  • Integrate legacy APIs with OAuth APIs.
  • Provide production support, including GCP log monitoring.
  • Participate in deployment discussions for API proxies and AKAMAI cloudlet updates.
  • Design API specifications and conduct governance reviews.
  • Engage in Apigee development and monetization modules.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
