About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Integrated Audit Consultant to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute integrated audit programs to assess high-risk areas in our controls, systems, and processes.
  • Communicate audit results and practical recommendations to senior leaders, providing clear and concise audit reports that document findings and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with business units and internal audit teams to perform integrated audits, gaining exposure to diverse aspects of our business.
  • Participate in department initiatives to further develop the Internal Audit function, attending training and development programs to upskill and prepare for future leadership roles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or at least four years of relevant work experience in Internal Audit, Business Process Controls, IT Audit, Risk Management, Network Engineering / Operations, Cybersecurity, or related audit work.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, operational auditing, and business processes, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to summarize audit results and effectively communicate findings to management.
  • Strong project management skills to manage and conduct audits with minimal supervision from start to finish, often handling multiple audits concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • Masters in Business Administration.
  • Professional certification, such as Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Working knowledge across a wide spectrum of frameworks such as IPPF, COSO, NIST, COBIT etc.
