Job Summary:

The Automotive Sales Technologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive information and a superior customer service experience before, during and after the sales process. We are currently seeking a unique individual that understands and can relay complex technology to customers and enjoy doing it.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience: Provide an outstanding customer experience in each customer interaction that drives loyalty to the retailer.
  • Product Information: Provide and offer comprehensive product information throughout the sales process to customers.
  • Technical Support: Support the Sales Consultant with customer questions regarding product features and benefits.
  • Information Gathering: Locate and collect technical information and make it available as a resource for the entire retailer staff.
  • Customer Interaction: Be able to meet, greet and interact with customers effectively.
  • Feature Explanation: Fully explain vehicle features, applications and benefits.
  • Encore Delivery: Engage customers to return to the retailer for an Encore delivery and perform a customer-focused explanation of sophisticated systems for customer understanding and satisfaction.
  • Follow-up: Follow-up with customers after the sales and all deliveries to ensure the customer is satisfied to positively impact customer loyalty.
  • Marketing: Build and execute store social media strategy.
  • Event Planning: Plan and organize store events.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer, phone and Social Media skills.
  • Knowledge Acquisition: Acquire and maintain knowledge on all vehicles and technology.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve customer satisfaction targets as assigned by management.
  • Professionalism: Uphold high ethical standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic MS Office knowledge; proficiency in computer software, social media and internet use.
  • Industry Knowledge: Enthusiasm for the Automotive Dealership industry with a focus on superior customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Professional Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Solution-Oriented: Solution-oriented mindset.
  • Background: Strong background in internet and phone sales.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Pre-Employment Screen: Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test).
Education & Experience:
  • Dealership Experience: 1- 2 years of dealership experience required; Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Mobility: Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
  • Walking: Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership.
