Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist to join our team at the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As a Therapist, you will provide comprehensive delivery of therapeutic counseling and related services to adults and children, working from a trauma-informed lens. You will be responsible for assessing and treating clients, completing clinical documentation, and participating in clinical staff meetings and program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as psycho-educational classes and other clinical program services.
  • Participate in service planning, goal setting, discharge planning, and clinical rounds as a member of the client support team.
  • Maintain licensure in good standing and adhere to professional standards established by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council and Licensure Board.
  • Stay up-to-date with training and supervision necessary for competency and systematic use of evidence-based practices within theoretical models specific to the population served.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation, assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and other documentation is completed within required timeframes.
  • Respond to emails and information requests promptly, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bill appropriate funding sources for time and services as specified in contracts and grants.
  • Work cooperatively on treatment teams and/or within the Del Rio team.
  • Attend outreach activities, make presentations to the public, and detail Catholic Charities programs and/or specific enrichment activities that will assist in the healing process.
  • Work cooperatively with staff colleagues, consultants, and referring professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Therapist and/or Clinical Director.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or other relevant behavioral science with clinical experience, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience.
  • LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, LMSW, or LCSW required.
  • 2 years of experience providing counseling services to children, teens, adults, and/or families.
  • Licensed to provide clinical services in the State of Texas.
  • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or experience with Alcohol and Drug Treatment a plus.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver's license; must have a clean driving record.
  • Valid vehicle insurance.
  • Submit to a state and federal background check, Child abuse and neglect registry check.
  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a variety of ages and developmental stages as a therapist.
  • Working knowledge of issues faced by adults and/or teen parents, post-partum conditions, peri-natal mental health, child and adolescent development, and trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to conduct therapy using the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Willingness to work from a Faith-Based lens is a plus.
  • Experience with computer software and MS Office suite required.
  • Ability to evaluate tasks, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to work some evenings and/or weekend hours as needed.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Travel Requirements

Travel requirements for the position include 10 to 30% local and less than 5% overnight. There may be 1 to 4 times per year you may need to attend an event or meeting in the San Antonio area.
