Job Description

Job Summary:

The School of Visual Arts in the College of Arts and Architecture at Penn State University invites applications for one or more Part-Time Lecturer positions to teach courses in the Bachelor of Design in Digital Multimedia Design degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach digital arts and design courses, including 2D, 3D, interaction design, time-based media, and critical theory.
  • Develop and deliver online courses in partnership with the Colleges of Communication and Information Science and Technology.
  • Apply interdisciplinary digital media knowledge in a range of digital contexts.
  • Participate in the development of web-based courses.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in a relevant field of study.
  • Online teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to teach one to two sections of the course per semester.
