Production Team Leader

Job Overview: We are seeking a Lead to provide guidance and oversight to our dedicated teams engaged in the manufacturing process. This role is essential in ensuring that our production goals are met while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver continuous feedback regarding individual performance through both formal assessments and informal discussions.
  • Engage in process enhancement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
  • Manage staffing needs within the department effectively.
  • Assist in the financial planning of the department and oversee budgetary expenditures.
  • Communicate daily objectives and address any production or service-related challenges.
  • Identify material shortages and collaborate with procurement to resolve part availability issues.
  • Monitor and address bottlenecks in the production process.
  • Report on downtime incidents and alert relevant resources.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding equipment malfunctions.
  • Track time for new product introductions and rework processes.
  • Ensure effective communication with other shifts to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Update departmental communication boards with relevant information.
  • Adhere to quality standards and take action if performance indicators fall below expectations.
  • Act as the primary contact for addressing scrap occurrences in any production step.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires an Associate's Degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
  • Generally requires 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
