Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team at the University Libraries, Florida Atlantic University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the University Libraries and its services to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, with experience in creating engaging content, managing social media, and developing marketing campaigns. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan that aligns with the University's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the University Libraries and its services.
  • Manage and maintain the University Libraries' social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Develop and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and posters, to promote the University Libraries and its services.
  • Collaborate with the University's marketing and communications team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that align with the University's strategic goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an academic or library setting.
  • Strong background in social media marketing, including experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver engaging content.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
