Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to join our Office of Technology Development team at Florida Atlantic University. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the commercial potential of disclosed innovations, researching potential industry partners, and preparing non-confidential information for innovation marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the commercial potential of disclosed innovations and identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Research potential industry partners to commercialize innovations and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare non-confidential information for innovation marketing and develop effective marketing strategies to promote innovations.
  • Contact potential industry partners to solicit feedback for innovations and gather insights on market trends.
  • Plan office outreach, recognition, and education events to promote innovation and technology development.
Requirements
  • Master of Business Administration or a Master of Science degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience; or a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
  • Prior technology transfer and/or intellectual property experience.
  • Prior marketing and/or business development experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working up to 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Florida Atlantic University offers a competitive salary range of $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
