Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant University Registrar to join our team at Florida Atlantic University. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and executing the university's commencement ceremonies, overseeing the setup of the ceremony stage, and ensuring the integrity and security of diploma inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal and external vendors to ensure smooth and successful events.
  • Design ceremony seating charts and manage graduate attendance and guest ticket distribution.
  • Oversee the processing of all graduation applications and the awarding of degrees at FAU.
  • Direct the secure and accurate generation and distribution of diplomas.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of diploma inventory.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on degree certification and commencement policies.
  • Supervise and lead the graduation team, providing leadership and direction to the graduation team.
  • Communicate critical graduation and commencement information to all FAU stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
  • Experience with Banner Student Information System and degree audits.
  • Experience working in an advising office, admissions office, or registrar's office.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
