Job Summary

This Outpatient Clinician position at United Counseling Services offers a rewarding opportunity to provide mental health and substance use services to clients in Bennington, VT.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Northshire Assistant Director to provide clinical case management services, consultation, and education to area schools, agencies, and the community.

  • Provide assessment and counseling to individuals and families with mental health and/or substance use problems.
  • Coordinate services with other agencies and providers.
  • Facilitate appropriate referrals for other services when necessary.
ResponsibilitiesDirect Clinical Services

Assess and counsel individuals and families with mental health and/or substance use problems. Provide individual, family, group, and relationship counseling. Coordinate services with other agencies and providers.

Consultation and Education Services

Provide mental health and/or substance use consultation to community, area agencies, professional community, and/or schools as required. Liaise between sponsoring agencies to coordinate services to clients.

Clinical Case Management and Social Support

Provide concurrent case management services on an as needed basis. Include service coordination with other agencies and services; collateral contacts with other family members or significant others in client's life.

Administrative and Team Meetings

Attend and actively participate in administrative, agency, and clinical meetings designed to inform, problem solve, and coordinate services and programs.

Requirements

A minimum of a master's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or related human services field. One year of experience preferred. Valid driver's license. Typing and navigating Windows management Email usage EMR.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $46,839 - $52,416 per year based on the location and requirements of the role.
