Job Summary:

The ESS Behavioral Technician will provide direct support to students in a classroom setting, working under the guidance of a teacher or social worker to implement behavioral modification strategies and promote a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized plans to support student success
Implement crisis intervention and stabilization strategies as needed
Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes student well-being and respect
Facilitate smooth transitions between activities and support students' individual needs
Utilize a school-wide positive behavior system to reinforce desired behaviors
Communicate effectively with colleagues and students to meet student needs
Maintain accurate records and data collection

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children and/or in the education field preferred
Completion of BLaST's behavior technician training and Safety Care-QBS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide a positive role model for students
