Job Summary

Care Alliance Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive first impression for patients through courteous and professional communication.
  • Answer incoming calls, determine the nature of the call, and refer to the appropriate person or take accurate messages.
  • Calmly handle and direct patient questions and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and flow throughout the day by providing accurate appointment management and updating records.
  • Prepare forms and documents for patients to complete prior to scheduled visits.
  • Verify and interview patients for necessary registration information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist patients in completing forms and inform them of the company's payment policy.
  • Follow and track appointments due to no-shows, cancellations, and late arrivals.
  • Reconcile daily co-pays and complete deposit slips.
  • Prior to appointments, contact insurance companies to verify coverage and fee schedules.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance by maintaining patient confidentiality and security of medical records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or vocational program completion preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years providing patient services in a professional environment, with experience working in a hospital, health center, or clinic environment with direct patient contact.
  • Experience working with people from various backgrounds.
  • Experience using an EHR, Epic preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office required.
