About the JobWe are seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will assist the project manager in controlling large to mega projects, focusing on cost control, planning, and scheduling, progress, risk management, change management, and reporting.
Main Accountabilities:- Ensure project activities are executed within project controls disciplines, in accordance with our Business Management System.
- Challenge and provide clear analysis to project management on project status, trends, and risks.
- Coordinate and oversee activities by cost, risk, and scheduling, including establishing project baselines, monitoring and reporting commitments and incurred quantities, hours, and costs expenditures, progress measurement, evaluating performance metrics, analyzing and trending forecasts, identifying and preparing preventive or corrective actions, preparing recovery plans, acceleration plans, or rebaselining, and risk and delay claim support.
- In liaison with project controls departments, implement procedures, methods, and tools, supervise, participate, or coordinate during project life, including contract management, project estimates and proposals, scope management, project change management, project deliverables, project organizations, purchasing and subcontract administration coordination, and invoice administration.
- Issue reports internally and to clients or partners.
- At project closeout, issue feedback reports, lessons learned, and project metric data.
We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented professional with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, General Business, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software, earned value progress measurement of engineering and procurement work processes, leading project change management programs, in-house or third-party cost control software, in-house and third-party accounting and finance software, commercial management processes, and contracts. A minimum of 15 years of increasing cost control, planning, and scheduling experience in the energy industry is required.
