At QuEST Global, we're seeking a seasoned Project Controls Specialist to lead our project schedule management efforts. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Stewarding the project control organization with respect to schedule development, control, and progress measurement
  • Advising the project organization on the adequacy of project controls tools, reports, and schedules
  • Developing and maintaining Level 1 and Level 2 integrated project schedules
  • Reviewing and endorsing schedule and progress baselines and forecasts prepared by the contractor
  • Advising the project controls lead and project leadership team on potential schedule issues and providing guidance on corrective action and measures to mitigate adverse trends
  • Reviewing project changes to evaluate the detail schedule impact and reviewing the schedule basis of the contractor's change proposals
  • Supporting the project team with ongoing project progress measurement and schedule analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities
  • Ensuring that the contractor's scheduling practices and progress measurement system comply with project coordination procedures
  • Leading the contractor to develop contract control schedules and milestones
  • Ensuring the integration of subcontractors' schedules and progress measurement systems
  • Monitoring contractor performance vs. approved baseline schedule to assist management in identifying issues and developing/ implementing corrective actions or recovery plans
  • Analyzing progress, schedule trends, and developing forecasts to support management decision-making
  • Participating in contract bid evaluations (as required for schedule evaluation)
  • Ensuring that the contractor's schedule reflects and aligns with external schedule requirements and interfaces such as permitting and regulatory
  • Assisting the project team in developing/reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans and ensuring needed actions/plans are implemented
  • Providing direction and feedback to schedule engineers (owner and contractors) on schedule development and control expectations during execution
  • Participating in gathering and recording lessons learned for the project that relate to progress and schedule areas
  • Driving and promoting capital efficiency on projects being stewarded by the department
  • Developing Level 3 schedules using Primavera through collaboration with business unit teams for overall well delivery lifecycle (from start of development through execution to production) and leveraging scheduling database (Aucerna EXECUTE) to build schedules

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management
  • 20 years of experience in project controls, project services, and/or planning/scheduling
  • Willingness to work overseas in a team environment and relocate to project sites as required
  • Advanced competency in Primavera Project Planner (P6)
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
