Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our imaging services department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures with minimal supervision, utilizing your expertise in radiography and diagnostic imaging to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and examine orders for radiologic scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient identity and obtain necessary consents and education.
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of radiologic scanners and related equipment.
  • Integrate diagnostic, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrate competence in performing radiologic scans as ordered.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
  • Evaluate radiologic scans for technical quality and collate processed images in sequence of exposure.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and provide education and training to student technologists.
  • Abide by hospital/department HR policies and adhere to regulatory body guidelines governing modality.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program.
  • ARRT registered and State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.
  • One year of relevant experience preferred, will consider new graduates from accredited schools.

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
