Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and proactive Quality Assurance Leader to become a vital part of our client's organization. This position is essential for guaranteeing that all quality operations within the facility adhere to the highest benchmarks, encompassing production, shipping, receiving, and supply chain processes. The Quality Assurance Leader will closely collaborate with the executive team and spearhead safety and cleanliness initiatives while maintaining a strong emphasis on both internal and external customer concerns. As the Compliance Officer and Management Representative, you will oversee all quality-related documentation and reporting, including adherence to ISO, AS9100, and ITAR standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise the Quality Control (QC) inspectors, managing their daily activities, assignments, and priorities.
- Ensure the prompt execution of all quality-related responsibilities and resolve any quality challenges in conjunction with the Production Planner.
- Facilitate training and development for the quality team, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to fulfill their roles effectively.
- Oversee the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) tracker and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), reviewing outstanding items and ensuring timely verification and resolution.
- Prepare and present quality assurance-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) during Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings.
- Engage in staff meetings with the executive team, contributing to discussions on RAILS, KPIs, and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and manage the audit schedule for surveillance audits, particularly ISO9001, and delegate responsibilities within the team.
- Conduct layered audits and ensure compliance with ISO, AS9100, ITAR, and other pertinent standards.
- Administer QA SPC software, including monitoring CPK index and generating performance graphs.
- Implement and uphold 6S principles within the QC Lab.
- Ensure that all gauges and measuring instruments are calibrated within their designated timelines.
- Verify time sheets in Epicor for accurate weekly payroll processing.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within quality management, ideally in an automotive or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality procedures, measurements, reports, and compliance standards, including ISO, AS9100, and ITAR.
- Strong expertise in quality aspects related to auto/aerospace production and the capability to implement process enhancements.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and understanding customer specifications and industry standards.
- Experience with measuring instruments such as ID/OD micrometers, calipers, snap gauges, bore gauges, CMMs (both manual and CNC), Hoffler gear inspection machines, dial indicators, and tooth veneers.
