Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Chief CRNA to join our team at Jefferson Medical Center. As a key member of our Anesthesiology Department, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership, ensuring the highest quality patient care and departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to CRNA staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Chief CRNA in administrative tasks, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Chief CRNA and other departmental leaders to develop and implement strategic plans for departmental growth and improvement.
  • Provide education and training to CRNA staff on new procedures, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • Supervise and evaluate CRNA staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and management.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in West Virginia and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
  • Current certification with National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Preferred 3 years of administrative experience as a CRNA.
