Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • One year of experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
