Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Chesterfield, MO. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for querying, extracting, and parsing data, as well as being part of the strategy and execution of data automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze company product data across various categories and define structured hierarchy of relevant parameters by groups
  • Work with product owners from the business to confirm defined attributes for product categories are comprehensive and accurate
  • Compare data from multiple sources for comparison and updating
  • Identify key information and patterns within text descriptions to assign attributes across defined parameters
  • Create queries to extract and parse data to validate consistency of attribute mapping approach
  • Perform iterative operations on existing data to complete item definitions with complete parameters
  • Validate quality of updated datasets, address errors and refine process
  • Provide recommendations regarding new item setup to ensure data is complete and aligned with defined standards.
  • Streamline process with automation
  • Develop programs (Python) to automate the analysis of text data and population of item parameters
  • Validate results of processing and make programming adjustments to improve / extend iterative execution
  • Leverage programming to identify exceptions in existing / new data that require incremental standardization

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing/querying/parsing data
  • Deep SQL query knowledge
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, Excel and related tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience accessing ERP Item Master data (JDE preferred)
