Job Title: Associate Controls Engineer

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering is a 100% employee-owned ESOP and one of the largest and most well-established engineering companies in the United States.

We are seeking an Associate Controls Engineer to join our team in our St. Louis office. This position is responsible for controls engineering projects involving PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, electrical and instrumentation, check out support and start-up assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
  • Develop control logic software and user interface, and create schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring.
  • Assist with initial start-up and debug integrated systems and the development of system automation and control system integration projects for clients in industries such as pharma/biotech, water/wastewater, data centers, etc.
Requirements:
  • Education: BS Electrical Engineering, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, or BS Computer Engineering is preferred. An AA in Engineering Technology or equivalent with equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Experience: Soon to be graduate or new graduate with an interest in pursuing a career in Controls Engineering. Preference given to, but not required, candidates with an understanding of or exposure to control systems - components, ladder logic programming, SCADA programming and their instrumentation and controls design as well as PLC and/or SCADA.
Working Environment:

Standard office environment, On-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments. Frequent PC usage, fax machines, copy machines, phones.
