Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC assesses and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies. The CNC acts as a resource for staff and enhances the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes.
- Work with subject matter experts and leadership to promote improved outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance performance and engagement.
- Assist with staff scheduling.
Qualifications
Education
Required:
ADN
Preferred:
BSN or MSN
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
BCLS
Preferred:
ACLS
National Certification
Experience
Required:
Two years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
Preferred:
One year of management experience and acute care experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to develop staff schedules, critical thinking skills, effective crisis management, clear communication, team-building encouragement, and the ability to listen, empathize, and respond to the needs of patients, families, and partners. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
