Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist, T Cell Engineering to join our team at OverT Bio. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and refining viral and non-viral engineering strategies for modification of primary human T cells. Your expertise in T cell engineering, in vitro and in vivo characterization, and research-scale manufacturing process development will be crucial in advancing our cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design viral and non-viral engineering strategies for modification of primary human T cells.
  • Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments across both in vitro and in vivo systems for characterization of engineered T cells in the context of solid tumor cancers.
  • Utilize cutting-edge high throughput and multi-omic technologies to discover biomarkers of optimal human donors for an effective engineered T cell product.
  • Become a subject matter expert able to find creative solutions to unexpected problems.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Immunology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cell therapy experience in industry.
  • Experience with primary human T cell engineering is essential.
  • Experience with gamma delta T cells or TCR-transduced T cells is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with viral vector design and generation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with flow cytometry, co-culture assays, cytotoxicity, and other immune-related assays.
  • Willingness to quickly discover and learn new methods and approaches.
  • Ability to adjust rapidly to shifting priorities and deliver high-quality, detail-oriented results in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork and collaborative attitude are essential.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
