Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to a department, requiring specialized knowledge and skills in administrative, organizational, and operational areas. The successful candidate will participate in operational planning, coordinate departmental policies and procedures, and perform a range of administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the department, including answering phones, assisting visitors, and preparing correspondence.
  • Assist in administrative problem-solving, program/project planning, and execution of stated goals and objectives.
  • Respond to inquiries requiring a general understanding of work-area policies and procedures.
  • Sort and distribute mail and materials within the office.
  • Establish, update, and maintain unit files, inventories, and records.
  • Schedule complex appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Five years of administrative, office, or related experience required.
  • Prior light bookkeeping and office management experience desirable.
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills required.
  • Ability to communicate accurate information to vendors and relate with a highly skilled staff.
