As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare revenue cycle by ensuring accurate processing of patient data, including insurance and demographic information, in accordance with established protocols. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) is integral to the revenue cycle, responsible for the precise entry and management of patient information, ensuring compliance with payer requirements. The PAR will also facilitate the assessment of surgical and diagnostic information to ensure availability across the facility.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Applicants should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or customer service environment. Participation in orientation and ongoing training is essential to maintain proficiency in this role.

SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in word processing and computer applications is required, along with basic math skills and effective communication abilities. Familiarity with hospital registration systems and medical terminology is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Work will be conducted in a clinical setting with potential exposure to various hazards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sedentary work:
Involves standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, along with repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.

WORK CONTACT GROUP:
Engagement with a diverse group including patients, medical staff, and external vendors is expected.

CAREER PATH:
Opportunities for advancement include Level 2 and Level 3 Patient Access Representative roles, as well as Coordinator and Manager positions.

Pay Range:
$17.00-$23.60
