Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Princeton Community Hospital Association, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a full range of diagnostic ultrasound imaging/therapeutic services and associated patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce sonographic medical images for the diagnosis or treatment of patients.
  • Demonstrates appropriate level of knowledge and technical aspects of the position, maintaining professional and technical competencies.
  • Reviews physician's requests for information on the procedure to be performed for each patient.
  • Produces images of optimal quality and maintains confidentiality of all Protected Health Information.
  • Assesses patient's needs related to comfort, hygiene, and range of motion and provides support accordingly.
  • Educates patients regarding sonographic procedures and promotes the team approach to providing Radiology services.
  • Engages in problem-solving, crisis management, and systems implementation to promote efficient, high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Performs as a clinical instructor and evaluates and documents student clinical performance fairly, consistently, and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professional development in sonographic imaging and techniques and participates in in-house training and development offerings.
Requirements
  • Completion of a C.A.H.E.P. or comparable accredited training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
  • Preferred qualifications include ARRT certification in Radiology, registration by the ARDMS or ARRT with certification in one specialty, and AB (Abdomen) certification within 1 year of hire.
Working Environment

The work environment is a clinical setting, and the successful candidate must be able to differentiate various shades of gray, stand and walk for six to seven hours a day, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds of weight, and push an ultrasound machine for portable exams.
