American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the premier providers of primary and urgent care services across the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our modern facilities are dedicated to the episodic treatment of acute medical conditions and injuries, as well as workers' compensation and occupational health services. Each center is equipped with an onsite laboratory and in-house x-ray capabilities.

AFC also oversees AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role is directly associated with a franchised location, where specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ.

Job Summary

Conduct radiographic imaging procedures to aid healthcare professionals in diagnosing injuries and medical conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and provide clear explanations of procedures with empathy
  • Accurately position patients for diagnostic imaging
  • Implement ALARA principles for radiation safety
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring supplies are ordered and stocked
  • Process images, ensuring proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for physician review
  • Utilize both digital and analog imaging equipment, adhering to established radiology protocols and policies
  • Assist healthcare providers with prescribed patient treatments according to approved standards and protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs as necessary
  • Be open to cross-training in additional roles, including medical assisting and reception
  • Complete other assigned tasks and responsibilities
Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training. ARRT registration or board eligibility is preferred. Must be licensed according to state regulations. In certain states, certifications such as Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification may be acceptable.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour
