Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the course H30D-Social Sustainability, which focuses on the economic, political, and social characteristics of societies that influence the well-being and satisfaction of their populations and, thus, presumably, the sustainability of those societies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the course H30D-Social Sustainability, using an active-learning approach.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the course objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the course and program.
Requirements
  • PhD in a field appropriate to the course.
  • Broad knowledge of the basic principles of economics and social organization and their application around the world.
  • Experience teaching using an active-learning approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
