Key Responsibilities:


This position is essential in supporting the Director of Operational Risk by assessing IT and Security vulnerabilities through comprehensive risk evaluations and implementing the risk management framework across various processes, risks, and controls.

The role will also involve managing risk assessment initiatives, collaborating with multiple departments (such as IT, Security, TPRM, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit) to ensure effective Corporate Risk governance that aligns with strategic objectives.

Main Duties:
To excel in this role, the individual must effectively manage the following responsibilities:

Engage with IT, Security, TPRM, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit to enhance Corporate Risk's contribution to the management of IT and Security risks throughout the organization.

Oversee the identification and evaluation of IT/Security risks, ensuring the reliability of associated technology frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO) that support clearing and settlement operations.

Ensure compliance with methodologies, guidelines, and standards relevant to risk identification and assessment frameworks.
Maintain comprehensive risk inventories, taxonomies, and other components that support IT/Security risk management and compliance efforts.

Lead the execution of the IT and Security risk assessment process, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the overall risk and control framework.

Generate analytical reports from Archer data for various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Facilitate the automation of IT & Security risk oversight through advanced data analytics.
Communicate the outcomes of risk assessments to governance committees, business leaders, and various management levels.

Collaborate on the enhancement and upkeep of Corporate Risk program methodologies, policies, procedures, and job aids, including the development of new program initiatives.

Monitor and document internal findings, external examination issues, and self-identified concerns from the Enterprise Risk Assessment.

Qualifications:

[Required] Advanced knowledge of IT and Security risks, particularly in cybersecurity (e.g., blue team, red team, threat & vulnerability management), disaster recovery, database management, network engineering, storage management, software development, and mainframe technologies. Intermediate knowledge of Operational risk.
[Required] Awareness of the evolving cybersecurity landscape affecting central clearing counterparties (CCPs).
[Required] Ability to serve as a trusted advisor and provide constructive challenges.
[Required] Innovative, independent thinker, willing to develop and implement new ideas.
[Required] Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
[Required] Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
[Required] Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
[Preferred] Familiarity with Financial Market Utilities; knowledge of securities and derivatives markets.
[Preferred] Experience working in a highly regulated environment, including interactions with the SEC, CFTC, and Federal Reserve; understanding of Covered Clearing Agency regulations.
[Preferred] Knowledge of cloud technologies, including experience with cloud platform migration.
[Preferred] Familiarity with tools that support capacity management, network architecture, threat assessment, code review, and software development.

Technical Skills:
[Required] Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
[Required] Experience with eGRC systems (e.g., Archer).
[Required] Proficient in data analytic techniques and tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL).

Education and Experience:
[Required] Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity (or equivalent) preferred.
[Required] 2+ years of experience in enterprise risk, cybersecurity, IT audit, technology risk, security risk, or risk consultancy, specifically focusing on assessing IT and Security risk.
[Preferred] Consulting experience.

Certifications:
[Preferred] Relevant certifications such as:
CISSP, Security+, CSX-P, CET, CISA, or CISM.
