Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the FP&A Manager and collaborating with operational teams to develop and manage essential financial models and executive presentations.

This position is crucial for the organization and serves as a key resource for operational teams.

The individual in this role aids leadership in forecasting, budgeting, and interpreting business results, providing insights into the reasons behind the financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate communication between the Finance and Retail teams regarding forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and various financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and communicate financial outcomes for the Retail team.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A Manager to deliver insightful commentary on financial results and ensure consistency in external financial reporting.
  • Act as a business partner for Retail teams, fostering connections between Finance and Retail.
  • Develop and report on specific performance metrics, including independent hypotheses and financial modeling.
  • Analyze and report on performance metrics such as marketing ROI, brand valuation, and pro-forma market analysis.
  • Provide macro-level industry trends and benchmarks, along with informed commentary on comparable companies.
  • Engage in financial modeling and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Present recommendations for process enhancements to improve financial performance.
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of strategic and financial planning projects, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial or business analysis is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and other ERP systems; SQL knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
