Job Description

The Release Manager will play a vital role in enhancing the company's customer-facing digital experiences by leading and managing release activities, identifying and implementing software engineering process improvements.

The Release Manager will work with multiple mobile app engineering teams to meet timelines for uploading apps to Google/Apple app stores and preparing beta builds/firebase readiness for beta validations.

Responsibilities include working with release partners to assess risk, prepare deployment plans, and set up conference and run deployments for releases into production.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of mobile app release processes, software development lifecycle, and effective leadership and analytical skills.

Preferred skills include a solid understanding of project management principles, knowledge of agile and scaled agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with Jenkins.

The Release Manager will work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects, supporting developers and testers in setting up build test environments and ensuring all governance gates are met and quality is certified.

The Release Manager will also work with IT management and IT Operations to improve software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating applications and environments.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and a flexible schedule to accommodate releases that could happen on a weekly basis.
