Mobile Release Manager

The Mobile Release Manager will play a vital role in enhancing the company's customer-facing digital experiences by leading and managing release activities and identifying software engineering process improvements.

The role requires advanced knowledge of mobile app release processes and Google/Apple Play Store publishing, as well as the ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams and lead analytical efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, as releases can occur on a weekly basis, and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Mobile Release Manager will work closely with IT management and operations to improve software engineering processes and practices associated with building, deploying, and updating applications and environments.

The role requires effective leadership and analytical skills, as well as advanced written and verbal communication skills.

The Mobile Release Manager will be responsible for defining the IT strategic direction for release management tools and ensuring that process requirements are built in.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and be able to work with multiple mobile app engineering teams to meet timelines for uploading apps to Google/Apple App Stores.

The Mobile Release Manager will also be responsible for preparing and submitting paperwork for approvals, preparing effective deployment plans, and setting up conferences and running deployments for releases into production.

The role requires a strong understanding of governance gates and quality certification, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects.
