About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at a large Food Manufacturing company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial and commercial HVAC/R equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform daily service maintenance, diagnostic reviews, and repairs on anhydrous ammonia refrigeration equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for PM's, repairs, and return equipment to fully operational status.
  • Technical Expertise: Read and understand technical drawings (P&ID's, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as a team member with productions, maintenance, and other technicians to support the facilities in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work Order Management: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/labor history, inventory usage).
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Utilize computerized refrigeration control system to monitor, adjust, and optimize system.
  • Communication: Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Operational Skills: Operate powered equipment (e.g., scissor lift, MHE-Material Handling Equipment, and boom lift) during PM's and repairs.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration related electrical systems to include 120V control power and 480V 3-phase.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Handle emergency service calls for refrigeration system breakdowns and provide timely repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with refrigeration systems.
