Job Title: Business Manager

At the Pierre Indian Learning Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to oversee all aspects of our financial and business operations. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our resources and the implementation of sound business practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Pierre Indian Learning Center.
  • Management of Finances: Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Purchasing, Bidding, and Contracting: Manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with Board policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the protection of the school district's assets.
  • Professional Services: Manage the use of legal and other professional services to prevent litigation and other complications.

Requirements:

  • Experience in accounting, finance, and operations in business, education, and applicable regulations.
  • A bachelor's degree and related experience in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
