Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Manager to join our team at The Crosby Company. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our benefits and leave programs for multiple employers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Benefits Administration: Develop and implement first-in-class benefits programs, including monitoring and reporting on workplace trends, costs, and utilization rates.
  • Administer all health and welfare benefits plans, programs, and policies for all employers.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for benefits programs, including onboarding and open enrollment processes.
  • Provide exceptional service to new employees, ensuring a seamless enrollment experience and developing a benefits orientation program.
  • Respond to and track employee inquiries regarding benefits, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Develop and lead the process for benefits-related requests for proposals and vendor negotiations.
  • Conduct and administer the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment process, including employee communications and informational meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and state-specific leave statutes.
Leave Administration:
  • Administer and communicate all leave programs in multiple states for all employers, including FMLA, MA PFML, and ME FMLA.
  • Manage and communicate all wage replacement benefits during leaves for all employers, including workers' compensation, short- and long-term disability insurance benefits, and MA PFML private insurance benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regarding health and welfare benefits, including ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Administer and manage all documentation and tracking of leaves, communicating with employees regarding leaves, status, and return-to-work issues.
Analytics:
  • Collect, track, and analyze benefits data, advising Human Resources Leadership and Management on benefits trends and opportunities.
  • Generate reports using HRIS data and ADP.
  • Perform quality control activities to ensure accuracy of benefits data in all systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and administering benefits plans, including hands-on experience in creating and administering innovative benefits programs.
  • 2+ years of leading and managing a benefits strategy for multiple employers or entities.
  • Experience working with diverse client groups with overlapping ownership.
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or SHRM-CP Certification is a plus.
