Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Applications to join our team in San Jose, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to automotive strategic partners regarding a cutting-edge portfolio of serializer/deserializer (SERDES) solutions.
  • Identify and analyze customer requirements and opportunities; propose comprehensive system solutions; and assist in design-in processes.
  • Collaborate with partner System-on-Chip/Field Programmable Gate Array (SoC/FPGA) system architects to develop serial link solutions that ensure high-bandwidth data connectivity for cameras, displays, and data converters.
  • Implement SERDES technology in conjunction with design and applications teams.
  • Create thorough design documentation and troubleshoot system design and component-level failures.
  • Conduct SERDES-level debugging and address related component issues.
  • Write and debug C/C++ code for systems software integration.
  • Develop SoC/FPGA integration with SERDES IP blocks.
  • Effectively communicate and present technical topics to stakeholders.
  • Enjoy partial telecommuting benefits (2 days remote work per week).

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline (foreign education equivalent accepted) along with two (2) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a related role focused on post-silicon validation utilizing shell and Python scripts.

Specific Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing reference designs for high-speed serial links (SerDes) and implementing eye diagram capturing capabilities for automotive industry partners.
  • Proven ability to connect with strategic partners to understand their needs and visions for next-generation automotive infotainment systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
  • Experience in developing prototypes involving serializers (Ser) and deserializers (Des) for Display Port (DP) output on Electronic Control Units, alongside utilizing automotive SERDES applications and equalization techniques.
  • Ability to provide partners with appropriate firmware for customized hardware through high-speed circuit knowledge and firmware programming skills.
  • Experience in writing Linux kernel drivers and diagnostic software for high-speed SERDES interfaces.

Compensation: The salary for this position is $126,184,920.00 per year.
