About the Role

Five Colleges, Incorporated is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Museum Collections Information Manager. This is a full-time, exempt, benefited role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration and implementation of a new collections management system and discovery platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data standards, reparative cataloging, and controlled vocabulary, to support the effective use of the new system.
  • Collaborate with consortium staff on digital projects related to database collaboration, manage budgets for grant projects, and oversee project timelines.
  • Work closely with museum staff to ensure the successful implementation of the new system, providing training and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on technology implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong technical expertise in collections management systems and digital asset management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
