About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Sales Support Specialist to join our team at Canon U.S.A., Inc.

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients in the United States and Japan. Your primary objective will be to establish strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers, contributing to sales growth and business development.

Your Impact:

  • You will manage and maintain customer/vendor files, records, and databases.
  • You will communicate effectively with customers, other divisions, carriers, freight forwarders, and partner companies to ensure smooth business operations for sales shipping and receiving purchase orders.
  • You will process customer orders, including order entry, picking, processing shipments, invoicing, and more.
  • You will be responsible for ordering products and processing incoming shipments of parts and merchandise.
  • You will support the sales manager by managing back-order lists and providing sales revenue forecasts.
  • You will represent Canon professionally by obtaining comprehensive knowledge of our product portfolio and sales processes.
  • You will increase sales performance by building close relationships within Canon, our clients, and how our products can fit their market needs.
  • You will work closely with sales supervisors in the US to prepare solutions for customers.
  • You will contribute to the achievement of monthly and annual sales product and revenue targets.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (plus 3-5 years of related experience).
  • Experience in import/export operations is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized individual with strong computer, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent requests.
  • MS Office proficiency, including Word and Basic Excel.
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks and Powerpoint is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual Japanese/English is preferred.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office two designated days a week and have the option to work from home the remainder of the week.

The estimated salary for this role is $66,560-$81,550 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
