Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design specifications and performance requirements for medical devices.
  • Provide technical information on manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process engineering planning.
  • Evaluate process and design alternatives based on 'Design for Manufacturability' principles.
  • Manage program compliance with Quality Control requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  • Understand work environment issues, including OSHA regulations.
  • May supervise or provide work direction to other technicians.
  • May lead or serve as a member on cross-functional project teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and testing medical devices, developing manufacturing processes, and designing for manufacturability.
  • Previous project management and people management experience required.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
