Key Responsibilities- Develop design specifications and performance requirements for medical devices.
- Provide technical information on manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process engineering planning.
- Evaluate process and design alternatives based on 'Design for Manufacturability' principles.
- Manage program compliance with Quality Control requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Understand work environment issues, including OSHA regulations.
- May supervise or provide work direction to other technicians.
- May lead or serve as a member on cross-functional project teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and testing medical devices, developing manufacturing processes, and designing for manufacturability.
- Previous project management and people management experience required.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
