Job Overview

Renesas Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our PDK/CAD team in the US. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to design teams worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced PDK/CAD engineers to ensure continued world-class support for design teams using our technologies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain foundry PDKs, PDK components, and PDK methodologies to meet the requirements of various business units.
  • Provide CAD solutions to support design methodologies and address issues raised by design teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and team members to define, maintain, test, and deploy CAD infrastructure, PDKs, and PDK components.
  • Lead by example technically, with a strong expertise in several areas of PDK/CAD.
Requirements
  • Manage a team of experienced PDK/CAD engineers and ensure continued smooth operation.
  • Support, develop, and maintain components and scripts required for internal PDK, CAD, and general design community use.
  • Align with manager's goals and initiatives to meet agreed-upon objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Be a key part of the interface between design, foundry technology, foundries, EDA vendors, and assembly teams to identify and implement project requirements.
  • Understand timelines, responsibilities, and priorities for support requests and assigned projects.
  • Exercise creativity to innovate new processes and procedures to achieve solutions to complex problems.
  • Maintain skills to ensure competence to perform assigned responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Additional programming/scripting/parsing languages, including Cadence Skill.
