About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Carolina Farm Trust, a growing non-profit organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals to meet the specifications of our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper kitchen inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff, assigning duties and tasks as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menu items and kitchen procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary experience preferred.
  • Exceptional cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and manage kitchen staff.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards, as well as food safety protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale software.
