Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medication Assistant to join our team at Eskaton Grass Valley. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with the self-administration of medications, under the direction and supervision of our Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator, Wellness Nurse, or Executive Director.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with the self-administration of medications as ordered by the primary physician
- Implement policies and procedures in assisting with medication dispensing
- Work effectively as part of a healthcare team to share information freely and follow verbal and written instructions
- Meet new and/or stressful situations with the appropriate responses
- High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred
- 8 hours approved medication administration training and passing grade of 85% or better on exam
- Satisfactory completion of 8 hours medication administration shadowing with an approved Trainer
- 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually
- Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language

This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment. The starting salary for this position ranges from $20.50 to $25.36/hour.
AM, PM, and NOC shifts are available. Walk-ins are greatly preferred for this position.
