Resident Medication Assistant

The Resident Medication Assistant position at Eskaton Properties, Inc. is a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a crucial part in assisting residents with the self-administration of medications, under the direction and supervision of our experienced team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with medication administration as ordered by the primary physician
- Work under the direction and supervision of the Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator, Wellness Nurse, or Executive Director
- Ensure medication administration is in accordance with established residential care standards, policies, procedures, and practices of our community and required by RCFE rules and regulations
- High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred
- 8 hours approved medication administration training and passing grade of 85% or better on exam
- Satisfactory completion of 8 hours medication administration shadowing with an approved Trainer
- 4 hours of continuing education on medication administration annually
- Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language
- Two years experience in a long term care or assisted living setting
- Current first aid training and CPR certification

This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment. The starting salary for this position ranges from $20.50 to $25.36/hour, depending on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations.
AM, PM, and NOC shifts are available. Walk-ins are greatly preferred for this position.
