Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and clerical support to our healthcare providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections.
- Perform clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records.
- Assist with patient education and communication, ensuring that patients understand their treatment plans and medications.
- Work collaboratively with the patient care team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Medical Assistant certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency preferred.
- 1 year of recent relevant experience in a medical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records.
Sutter Health offers a competitive salary range of $25.34 to $30.41 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
