Role Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the site's production operations, working closely with Engineering, Quality, Commercial Teams, and customers to deliver high-quality parts. This role involves overseeing department managers to ensure departmental goals are established and achieved, maximizing customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and drive departmental goals to support TSS's objectives
  • Collaborate with direct reports to communicate and update goals and/or metrics, illustrating objective evidence of improvement
  • Perform process audits to monitor procedure and policy conformance
  • Support and sustain safety, quality, delivery, and cost metric boards across operational departments
  • Implement needed improvements across functional areas, including tools, equipment, procedures, forms, training materials, etc.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, guiding site Operational Excellence and Procurement Excellence goals
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and directives
  • Partner with Management to ensure site financial goals and deliverables are met
  • Active participation in establishing site operation strategic planning in alignment with TSS vision
  • Effective leadership in supporting employee engagement efforts and communication
  • Support and provide regular alignment with Supply Chain, and Quality in support of a One TSS culture
  • Provide excellent customer support as required
  • Support manufacturing process to sustain a culture of Lean
  • Escalate issues or concerns to Plant Manager as appropriate
  • Provide a safe and clean working environment for all employees

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 7+ years Operations experience
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with Lean Sigma methodologies
  • Experience managing in a unionized manufacturing facility

Desired:

  • MBA or master's degree in related field
  • 10+ years of Operations Management experience
