Job Title: Staff Technician II

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Commonwealth Attorney's office, with a focus on criminal prosecution and case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of legal tasks, including data entry, filing, and drafting paperwork.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including running criminal histories and preparing exhibits.
  • Order certified orders of conviction from other jurisdictions and draft transportation orders for defendants and witnesses.
  • Update files and check off motions dockets and general district court trial dockets.
  • Pre-set general district court cases with defense attorneys and send correspondence to the Court.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the criminal justice field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to exert light physical effort in a sedentary to light work environment. Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds) may be required.

Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals, especially while viewing Axon videos.
