Key Responsibilities

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for guiding and supervising Program Directors across multiple locations, ensuring optimal use of resources for our educational services. This role encompasses oversight of all facets of the Education and Technological Services division, including personnel management, budgeting, service delivery, and facility management.

  • Recruit, interview, hire, orient, train, evaluate, supervise, and, if necessary, terminate subordinate staff.
  • Manage the daily operations of the entire program, including educational, clinical, medical, clerical, and maintenance functions.
  • Oversee classroom assignments and curriculum development.
  • Authorize the procurement of supplies and equipment for the division.
  • Act as a liaison between families and educational institutions.
  • Facilitate communication with community organizations and educational authorities.
  • Propose, develop, coordinate, and implement program objectives.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Supervise student placement decisions in external facilities.
  • Ensure staff receive all necessary in-service training and develop training programs tailored to children's needs.
  • Conduct regular assessments and observations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and children.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the field.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for effective interaction with colleagues, individuals supported, families, regulatory bodies, and external contacts.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with equipment commonly used by individuals receiving services, including wheelchairs and adaptive devices.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to oversee various sites.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Special Education.
  • Postgraduate degree in Supervision and Administration.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Special Education Teacher and five years as a School Administrator.
  • New York State Permanent Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
  • New York State Permanent Certification as a School Administrator and Supervisor.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License in good standing.
  • New York State Certification in School Building Leader (SBL) and/or School District Leader (SDL) is required.

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 Annually + Comprehensive Benefits
