Hanger, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Orthotic Fitter or Certified Prosthetist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients by providing exceptional orthotic and prosthetic care.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Orthotic Practitioners: Work closely with our certified orthotic practitioners to evaluate and analyze patient needs for orthotic services.
- Patient Evaluation and Fitting: Examine and evaluate patients' needs in relation to disease and functional loss, and perform fitting and execute minor modifications as necessary.
- Orthotic Device Evaluation: Evaluate orthotic devices on patients, adjust to ensure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients in the use of orthopedic devices and identify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
- Follow-up and Communication: Follow up with patients and physicians, and provide in-service training to physicians and allied healthcare professionals.
- Documentation and Administration: Complete and maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided, and assist other clinical staff as needed.
- Education and Certification: High School Diploma or GED required; employee must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
- Preferred Experience: Allied Health Professionals, Orthotic, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), or Soft Goods Fitter, Medical Assistant.
