Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Analyst will be tasked with executing weekly and monthly financial responsibilities while generating reports that bolster business functions across all operational sites.

This role is pivotal in supporting the month-end closing and budgeting cycles, ensuring meticulous tracking and closure of Capital Expenditure Projects.

Collaboration with leadership is essential to align projects with the strategic goals of the operational and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise and organized financial documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
  • Oversee the general ledger by documenting transactions, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of various financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Manage the recording, tracking, and closure of Capital Expenditure Requests across all operational sites.
  • Analyze expenses related to Feed Mills and Operations, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and supporting budgeting efforts.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process for all operational locations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the timely reporting of Weekly Live Variance Reporting.
  • Provide documentation for both internal and external audits periodically and annually.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and financial analyses as needed.
  • Cross-train and provide support for all accounting roles at each location.
  • Input vendor information into the accounting software system.
  • Process invoices against corresponding purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely vendor payments.
  • Track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Accurately post and allocate incoming payments.
  • Review and update formulas and pricing within the accounting system as necessary.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with suppliers, employees, and leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • In lieu of a degree, equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles is required.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, is preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment equipped with telephones, computers, and printers.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Sedentary role with occasional lifting of less than 15 pounds.
  • May require standing for up to one-third of the workday.
  • Ability to collaborate virtually with stakeholders across different time zones.
