The Mechanical Engineer in this capacity will oversee the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of Non-woven, Converting/Packaging, and Mill Utility equipment.

Applicants should possess expertise across various technologies and demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of team members.

This role reports to the Engineering and Reliability Manager, receiving guidance through broad project objectives and daily accountability meetings.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all job functions are performed safely and effectively.
• Develop equipment and processes that comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Safeguard the well-being of operators, maintenance staff, and other personnel.
• Lead engineering projects with financial scopes ranging from $5 to $10 million from inception to commercialization.
• Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of tissue converting equipment and processes to achieve unit objectives.
• Cultivate knowledge and skills in engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management.

• Identify, define, and resolve complex technical issues to meet unit objectives while fostering relationships with technicians, reliability team members, and external vendors.

• Offer on-call and on-site support as necessary.

• Promote Environmental, Health, and Safety as core values through active leadership and by identifying and mitigating risks to protect our people, processes, and materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate policies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in various technical or operational roles is preferred.

Essential Knowledge
• Understanding of Ancillary Manufacturing Processes and Systems
• Expertise in Machine Safety Design
• Proficiency in Project Management and Execution Practices
• Skills in Technical Documentation, Communication, and Report Writing
• Knowledge of Total Asset Life Cycle Management
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing technologies.
