Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Program Manager to lead our Capital Projects team at Princeton University. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex capital design and construction projects, with a strong focus on leadership, collaboration, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership to the Capital Projects team, ensuring the successful delivery of capital design and construction projects.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, including project governance, resources, priorities, risks, and communications.
  • Liaise with executive sponsors, users, and University administration to ensure effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage campus partnerships and collaborations to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Capital Projects team, ensuring the highest standards of project delivery.
  • Participate in the selection process for consultants, preconstruction, and contractors, ensuring the best value for the University.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, architecture, or business.
  • Significant experience in managing capital design and construction projects, with a strong focus on leadership, collaboration, and customer relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex matters and provide strategic, structured, and data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with varying scope and multiple stages of completion.
  • Assertive and collaborative skills, with the ability to maintain project momentum and exercise exceptional judgment and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering, architecture, business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in the higher education environment, in the construction industry, or real estate development.
